OpusCapita pioneers public sector use of software robotics with solution for Finnish Government Finance and HR services hub
September 28, 2016
OpusCapita – the Nordic region’s leader in automation for digital invoicing and financial processes – has made an agreement to provide a software robotics solution to the Finnish Government Shared Services Centre for Finance and HR. Worth more than EUR 2 million, the agreement is estimated to enable overall savings of approximately EUR 3 million. The solution will involve initiating one of the first software robotics projects in the Finnish public sector.
The Finnish Government Shared Services Centre for Finance and HR aims to provide administration services to state organizations with a greater level of efficiency, quality and diversity than in the past.
“We are using software robotics with the primary goal of realizing better productivity,” says Helena Lappalainen from the Finnish Government Shared Services Centre for Finance and HR. “In addition, we want to use automation to enable our personnel to concentrate on their own expert work by delegating process-related routine work to robots.”
The software robotics deal includes a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution and licenses, a delivery project and training, support, maintenance, and expert services for the solution. The training will enable the government center’s own personnel to take responsibility for the future development of their robotics operations.
Finland’s OpusCapita has extensive experience in deploying software robotics for various organizations.
“Software robotics have enormous potential for Finnish companies and organizations,” says Patrik Sallner, CEO of OpusCapita. “Our own experience has shown that investments in RPA solutions generally pay for themselves within about six months. Operations become more efficient and experts’ time is freed up for more complex tasks and customer service.”
