Finnlines selects OpusCapita’s Purchase-to-Pay solution
November 18, 2014
The shipping company Finnlines and OpusCapita, a specialist in financial management processes and automation, have signed an agreement concerning a Purchase-to-Pay processes automation solution. The solution, which is to be implemented as a cloud service, will be implemented in stages throughout the Finnlines Group.
Under the agreement, OpusCapita will provide Finnlines with an international, highly automated, global service concept that includes, among other things, multichannel receipt of purchase invoices, invoicing automation and versatile payment solutions. These will be offered as SaaS services.
Finnlines is already using a service provided by OpusCapita for integrating processes between companies and online message exchange.
“The recently concluded agreement means that Finnlines will have one service provider for Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) transactions, which will substantially improve cost management, transparency and the ability to make forecasts. We are also committed to increasing the degree of electronic processing in the company’s invoicing, and standardizing and further automating the processing of these invoices globally,” explains Seppo Korhonen, Sales Director at OpusCapita.
Finnlines is a part of the Italian Grimaldi Group, one of the world’s largest operators of ro-ro vessels and the largest operator of Motorways of the Sea in Europe for both passengers and freight.
