OpusCapita Finalises EU funded Project for AS4 Protocol Integration

by e-invoicing Trends, PEPPOL, Digitalization, OpusCapita, Business Network, E-invoicing

I wrote to you a year ago how the EU is a strong driver for future e-invoicing in Europe and how OpusCapita won a grant to participate in an EU development project. We have joined the project in spring 2019 along with a consortium of European EDI providers, LMT Group and project coordinator Universitat de València. Today OpusCapita is officially closing the project AS4EDI which was founded by European Commission and CEF Telecom (Connecting Europe Facility) program to cultivate Electronic Invoicing in Europe.

Project for AS4 Protocol Integration

The Project

The AS4EDI project aimed to provide more compliance and security for the electronic transaction process. As a result of the project we at OpusCapita and other entities that were already using e-delivery services provided by the members of the AS4EDI consortium gained an access to the cross-border exchange of electronic documents, according to the technical specifications of the EU core service platform based on the e-delivery AS4 profile. And our customers will now get the benefit as well because they will be able to benefit from our EU vetted and approved solution.

A Successful Conclusion

I am really proud to announce that we have successfully concluded this project. During the project development, we integrated the AS4 protocol into our PEPPOL Access Point - we went live with Peppol AS4 activities already in February 2020. We have also reused our AS4 capabilities in pilot testing of EESPA interoperability network.

The end of this project means that we can now provide a service to our clients, aligned with the eIDAS Regulation, and responding to the requirements established by the European Union for the electronic delivery of documents.

We are almost at the end of the work also with EURINV project and hopefully I will be able to write you positive news already in August this year.
