OpusCapita and Microsoft to intensify their collaboration
OpusCapita and Microsoft are to intensify their long
collaboration as Microsoft renews its partnership agreement. The
new agreement will remain in force until the end of January next
year. Under the agreement, OpusCapita will be Microsoft's Gold
Independent Software Vendor.
In the new partnership programme, Microsoft has set down
requirements that are even more demanding than before, with an
emphasis on its partners' competencies. The Microsoft Partner
Network defines various competence requirement levels for partners.
This has introduced tighter criteria, which include more stringent
certification and customer satisfaction surveys.
Key benefits of the Microsoft Partner Network include technical
advisory services, technical support and training services.
OpusCapita also benefits from mutual marketing collaboration and
internal-use Microsoft licences.
OpusCapita also believes in Microsoft in its own product
development: its 4G products are based on the Microsoft Silverlight
technology. In fact, OpusCapita is the first provider of financial
administration software that has adopted this technology as a
platform.
"The fact that customers are already using some of our first
Silverlight-based products gives us a few years' product
development lead on our competitors," says Ari Mäntyniemi,
OpusCapita's Senior Technical Product Manager.
"OpusCapita's 4G products focus on usability and ease of use.
The browser-based Silverlight technology makes distributing
OpusCapita to users easier and more cost-efficient."
