Strong first six months for OpusCapita
OpusCapita's performance in the first half of 2010 was strong,
with revenue increasing 27 per cent on the corresponding period in
2009.
According to Kari J. Mäkelä, CEO, the positive
performance was brought about by several factors, including
investments in financial management systems that had been held back
by the recession and OpusCapita's determined measures to improve
its products and operating processes that have begun to bear
fruit.
"Demand for OpusCapita's products is on a growth-track in all of
Scandinavia, supported by our investments in SaaS applications. In
autumn we will launch a new generation of financial software in
Scandinavia and Central Europe. The fourth-generation software,
OpusCapita 4G, is groundbreaking in its field and the most
user-friendly software available anywhere. OpusCapita 4G has been
designed for use with an internet browser anywhere in the
world."
In Finland, the market has been boosted especially by SEPA or
the Single Euro Payments Area. SEPA concerns all business payment
information and the transitional period before its full
implementation in Finland will conclude at the end of the year.
"In Finland our resources are fully dedicated to SEPA projects,
although there still are companies that have not even started to
prepare for the new system. In fact, even some major corporations
have barely started their transition, not to mention SMEs. The
last-minute dash we've been forecasting has materialised."
